Wellborn Forest has been making framed cabinetry in Alexander City, Alabama since 1986. The company began building cabinets for government housing and grew into a semi-custom manufacturer supplying designers and installers, and it describes its own aim as extraordinary construction features in designer styles and finishes at a sensible price.
For our clients the practical point is this: it is a broad, American-made framed line that covers most of what a Bradenton or Sarasota kitchen actually asks for, without pushing you into a full custom price bracket.

How we work with it
We measure the room, document the clearances and services, and specify the cabinets against how you actually use the space. We check the order when it arrives rather than discovering a problem on installation day, and our own installer fits it. Kierstin holds the general contractor license, so where the project involves the surrounding trades we can carry that too instead of handing you a list of numbers to call.

They are related but separate businesses. Wellborn Forest Products was established in 1986 and operates its own plant in Alexander City, Alabama. If you have been quoted on one and are comparing it to the other, tell us and we will make sure the comparison is like for like.
Is this custom cabinetry?
It is semi-custom. Cabinets are made to order in the sizes, modifications, finishes and accessories the manufacturer offers, rather than cut from scratch in a joinery shop. For most rooms that range is wider than people expect.
How long does it take?
Because it is built after you specify it, it takes longer than stocked cabinetry. We give you the current lead time in writing before you commit, and we plan the rest of the work around it rather than the other way round.
